What are the best fly poppers to use for small lake bass. Any certain colors?. I hear that they like nymphs dropped under a dry fly. Is it true?.

Bass poppers are great top water bass trout lure. I typically use all black poppers on cloudy days and all white poppers on sunny days. I've also had good luck with the red & white poppers. I have tried fishing with nymphs behind a dry fly but I found I only caught smaller bass doing so. To catch larger bass, I found using bigger poppers to be the better choice.
