Ultimate Hunting & Fishing • View topic - Big Buddy Propane Heater

I really like this heater. I have used this heater for the past 4 years from duck hunting at 13 degrees F to hunting in CO at 10,000 ft in the winter. Sometimes it has been a bit harder to start when it is cold outside but once you get it started there is no problem. I did not have a problem either using it at 10,000 ft of elevation. The only negative of this heater is that if you move the heater it has a tendency to go out. This heater must be very stationary when you use it. Hopefully they will fix this problem in the future but until then it is finally nice to have a really good heater in our duck blind in Iowa, expecially as the temps dip into the teens. Oh, one last thing they make this in a 1 tank and 2 tank version. I have used both versions of these heaters. The one tank version is a bit more compact and you do need to change the tank once or twice during the day depending on how much you use it. The two tank version is a bit bulky, but lasts a bit longer between changes. Consider your weight and size restrictions if you buy this heater.
